Which words in the sentence make up the adjective phrase? What word does the adjective phrase modify? He told me that aliens from space are coming to Earth soon. A. He told; modifies me B. are coming to; modifies Earth C. that aliens; modifies space D. from space; modifies aliens

Look for what adds some detail to the thing being discussed. It is going to be descriptive, so you can assume that you aren't looking for an active verb. With that in mind, which do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it B? @KateGrace

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IS IT B??? @KateGrace

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi sorry I was away from my computer for a bit! B uses "coming to" which is a verb. Anything can be coming to something so that doesn't really give us any description as to what is coming.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one is D, because "from space" gives us some detail about the aliens. It could have said "from Mars" or "from another galaxy" which changes what we think about the aliens!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes is it D
