Which statement is a counterexample for the following conditional? If you live in Springfield, then you live in Illinois. A. Sara Lucas lives in Springfield. B. Jonah Lincoln lives in Springfield, Illinois. C. Billy Jones lives in Chicago, Illinois. D. Erin Naismith lives in Springfield, Massachusetts.

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

Is B correct

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):

@calculusxy

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

That is incorrect. Since it is counter example question, we have to choose one that is refuting the theory. So since each of them live in Illinois and in Springfield. But I am confused upon a and b.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Sorry i meant that I was confused with a and d.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Okay so I now realized that it should be d because this option doesn't match all the criteria hat you have to live in Illinois since Eric lives in Massachusetts. So I'm pretty sure that it is D

OpenStudy (loser66):

I am with calculusxy now :) it's d

OpenStudy (yacoub1993):
