That is incorrect. Since it is counter example question, we have to choose one that is refuting the theory. So since each of them live in Illinois and in Springfield. But I am confused upon a and b.

Okay so I now realized that it should be d because this option doesn't match all the criteria hat you have to live in Illinois since Eric lives in Massachusetts. So I'm pretty sure that it is D
