So to find out...all you would do is plug in the numbers...

(2 , 8)
(x , y)

Plug those in for 'x' and 'y' in you equation

2y = 2x + 8 <---im assuming this is '+' because above it says = again

2(8) = 2(2) + 8

And the see if it works out
