A dollar bill is approximately 6 in. long. A radio station gives away a price consisting of a mile-long string of dollar bills. What is the approximate value of the prize?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well there are 5280ft in a mile multiply that by 12 and you have how many inches are in a mile

Medal?

Isn't the answer correct? @31356

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you divide the inches in a mile by 6 (the length of the dollar bill) and you get the number of dollars

OpenStudy (31356):

Do you mean my answer or his answer @connor_ ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now im assuming they meant one dollar bills when they just said dollar bills so the number of bills equals the prize aount
