Okay, so the water cycle has t repeat periodically. After precipitation, the water falls down mountains it gathers lots of minerals, silt and sad with it and is known as surface run-off. Now after that when it settles down where it is not too steep, it goes beneath many rock layers and forms ground water. Now it goes below the rock through big pores which are permeable and thus finds its way to the bottom till the bed rock. And then the ground water, as shown in the diagram, rises above in the ocean which then evaporates thus continuing the water-cycle. Understood? :)
