Use the slope formula to determine the slope of the line that passes through the points R (1, 2) and S (5, 7).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

−4/5 4/5 −5/4 5/4 options

Its one of the top two answers. I think It is A but I am not positive. double check it.

OpenStudy (bibby):

the slope formula is\[\frac{ y_2-y_1 }{x_2-x_1 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

confused because do i make R=x and S=y?

OpenStudy (bibby):

They're both points. R has an x and a y. S has an x and a y. so the y of r minus the y of s etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think of R as R(x1, y1) and S as S(x2, y2). Then put the values in the above formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so is it 5/4?|dw:1392361370013:dw|
