Could you give an example please of your question.
It depends on the equation. The range are the "y values" of the equation, so wherever there are points along the y-axis, that will be your range. If you can give an example it would be great. However, if you have the equation AND the domain, you can substitute the lowest value (the minimum value) from the domain into the equation and you'll have your (y-value from the substitution, to infinity or negative infinity).
