I need algebra help! Please help and I will give you a medal!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not looking for direct answers as that is cheating, I just need to know how to do this please! 6.The computer system you need to input the function into only works in logarithms of base 10. Using complete sentences, explain how to convert your exponential function P(x) in a logarithmic one and then into a base 10 logarithm.

@Jacaira @thomaster @hartnn can any of you help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i would but i dont know how to solve that kind of equation :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. It's okay :) Thank you anyways!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Np ill try to ask if anyone else can help @undeadknight26 can you help?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

o.o i didn't learn this yet...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

darn :/ hm @texaschic101 can you help pleasee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. This is algebra 2 and I am taking it online so it may be different than what they teach in actual classrooms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright well I am going to try getting help from my sister. I will post back on here if she can't help me. Thanks so much for trying to help @Jacaira!!! Thanks for taking a look @undeadknight26!! I will tag you both if I post back on here.

np :D

She didn't know how to do it :/ I figured out how to convert it to a logarithmic, I just don't know how to convert it to a log with a base of 10. This is how to convert to a log: Exponential growth functions are y=bx and the form of logs are y=log5 (x). So, in my function, 5 is b and x is x. So the log would be log_5 (x). @Jacaira @undeadknight26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kelly226 @QueenBee232 @loganmotion @csall Do you know how to do convert a log into a log with a base of 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ChaseFFS @blitzkrieg100 @happinessbreaksbones Can anyone help me? I am desperate!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hailey553 do you know this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry, i dont know..:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's okay. Thanks any way Hails!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Darrius do you know how to do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay this is what I am putting Exponential growth functions are y=bx and the form of logs are y=log5 (x). So, in my function, 5 is b and x is x. So the log would be log_5 (x). To convert it to where it will be a log with a base of 10, I am going to substitute with 5 because that is how many fish are in the population at the end of 1 month. Okay so now we have log_5 (5). Now we can properly convert this. Ln(5)/ln(5)= 1. So we take that and plug it into log_10 (x) and get log_10 (1). And that is how we convert our exponential function into logs. I hope this is right!
