Yes. You can go to their profile and look through their medals, posts, questions answered and questions asked, fans, and testimonials. 

You can also search for usernames by asking around, or using the tag system (i.g., @moonlight123  )

if you know the name you can search on google
just add site:openstudy.com to the search query.
Like this: moonlight123 site:openstudy.com

or type the name after the standard page for profiles http://www.openstudy.com/users/thomaster Change thomaster to any name and it will show the profile

Its not like the admins will tell us everything about the site...I know there are such things as bans and ip bans...so why not a deleted account?

The admins can technically delete your account, but it would prove extremely troublesome.

They would have to delete everything you ever posted, manually. Especially when you use the chat, there will be thousands of messages. If they don't delete everything completely, the system will be corrupted. Also every link to other users would have to be removed (medals given, testimonials, fans etc.) This will also affect the other users as their smartscores will go down. Anyway you could say it's almost impossible to fully delete an account without screwing up something. That's why they don't and never will delete accounts. The main reason being the effect on other people.
