first solve for radious of the cone knowing its volume  that you were given.

Then use that radius with the formula for volume of the cylinder and you got it.

1/3pi*r^2*h=3 thats the formula for finding out the volume of a cone 
volume of a cone is pi*r^2*h so divide the 3 by 1/3 =9 cubic feet

lol you could just say that since a cone's volume is 1/3 of the volume of a cylinder, you would do 3*3 to get 9. 9 is the volume of the cylinder :)
