can you help ok so i have to write a 2-3 paragraph story and before you say i'm not writing it im not asking for that i just need a suggestion that i have to write if i went in to a time machine and went 200 years in the future now in the story i'm putting that there is a friend with me it's a boy what should the name be any suggestion it good i will give a medal to the one i think is best.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and sorry @poopsiedoodle if this is not meant to be put here if its not just tell me please

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I think it's acceptable :P Gimme the personality. That usually helps when picking a name.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i'm starting my story in the woods the boy is adventurous and brave i just made up the character

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Skyler, Landon, or Xander

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

all of those seem like incredibly generic names for 14 year old squeaky whiners. How old is your character?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the name landon is good well im 13 so i guess 13

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Ehh, adventurous and brave 13 year old is kinda pushing it. Those are really unlikely.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I'm thinking something like Bale, or something like that. What kind of world is it though? Like the modern world, but more technologically advanced?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um well i'm going to make it go from modern world to when it goes to the future it is technologically advanced world

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

In that case, let's do something kinda mature-ish (even though it is a 13 year old) like Bale, or Justin, or something like that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about the name randy it may not sound mature-ish im not sure it's my cousins name

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bale sounds like a generic rip off of greek hero literature, not a modern or futuristic story. Just my 2 cents. The names I suggested do sound like pre teens to young teens, but I thought that was the goal.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Never heard of greek hero named bale or anything like that, but #yolo. Randy would work.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't mean to imply there was a greek hero, just that it is reminiscent of that era. I personally don't like Randy, but that is only because it is my brothers name, so I get his personality when I think of it. What about something like Mason, or Quin, or Remy.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

>Mason yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mason sounds good and sorry about the randy thing its just he's my favorite cousin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No need to apologize, it's your story. I don't expect everyone to think of my brother when they hear the name Randy :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well yeah i guess that wouldn't be the first thing but after i thought of my cousin i remembered for some reason my step-sisters ex's name was randy too which i hate that it was his name

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, glad I could help, good luck with the rest of your story, I need to get back to writing my Abstract.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks again and good luck with your story too
