Well, dehydration reaction generally means loss of a water molecule. And, if you look at the structure of glucose, you'll see that there's quite a bit of alcohol substituents that will allow for this reaction. Glucose, also has the general formula: \(\sf \color{Red}{C_6 H_{12} O_6}\)
