how can theta 90° because a triangle cann't have two angles 90°

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont get the question. there cannot be 2 90 degree angles in a triangle, no. but there can be a 90 degree angle in a triangle.

OpenStudy (nikato):

Theta is just a reference angle. It can be any one of the three angles in a triangle. It's just that most of the time in problems, ur theta angle is any one of the angles that isn't 90

OpenStudy (yttrium):

It's just an indication that the triangle is a right triangle. It also means that the remaining angles are less than 90 degrees. There are some special right triangles, let me give you some: (30-60-90) and the (45-45-90) triangles. Take note, the summation of all angles in the triangle is 180 degrees.

Is your question as to since Sine Theta is defined as Opposite Side/Hypotenuse, how can we have Sine of 90 degrees since then the triangle would have to have 2 angles of 90 degrees each?
