Well, the government took away their freedom of religion. People wanted to move to other areas to find their freedom there. Also, Europe had a large population and many lands were taken away.by the rich people which left many poor people who couldn't afford for a property. Those who had no property craved to move to the Americas and start a new life their and get a property of their own.
