A spherical fish bowl is half-filled with water. The center of the bowl is C, and the length of segment AB is 16 inches, as shown below. Use 22/7 for pi.
What is the volume, in cubic inches, of water inside the fish bowl? (5 points) Select one: a. 402.29 b. 1072.76 c. 1217.40 d. 608.73
@RadEn @robtobey @ganeshie8
do u know the equation to find the volume of a sphere ?
no only the cylinder one i know
\[the \ volume \ of \ a \ sphere= \frac{ 4 }{ 3 }\pi r^{3}\]
now the water is only filled half of it.. so what u have to find is the volume of the half of the sphere ...
to find the volume of half of a sphere u can get the equation by dividing the equation for a sphere by 2
\[the \ volume \ of \ water = half \ of \ the \ sphere = \frac{ 1 }{ 2} \times \frac{ 4 }{ 3 } \pi r^{3}\]
in other words \[\frac{ 2 }{ 3 } \pi \ r ^{3}\]
now .. can u find the radius of the sphere ?
can u help srry bout the wait wats the radius
radius is 8 in.
so 2/3 pi 8^3
yep!
yeah
i got b for the answer
am i correct
@eliassaab am i cirrect
