German question (I am in college intro to german 2 'ge1020') I am still having trouble with the accusative, as in when to use it. I get that it is only for masculine words, but I still have trouble. Is there any way to help me remember, or to read it in English that I might have it fall into place.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Well, it is true that the changes happen only in the masculine with : Der große Mann -> den großen Mann Ein großer Mann -> einen großen Mann whereas "die schöne Frau, eine schöne Frau, das schöne Mädchen, ein schönes Mädchen" do not change.

OpenStudy (kc_kennylau):

You use the accusative when it is the direct object, an example would be "apple" in "I eat apple".
