Trouble finding equivalent Inductance with Mutual Inductance. Please show steps. Below is what I have done so far. Not sure how to solve for this but I do havea few hints from my professor.
This is the third question regarding circuit analysis that no one can answer, such a shame there isn't a separate category for Electrical Engineering Majors (Or even help in that area).
I am sorry but I finally understood what you wanted. There are three attachment. The first is really a continuation of your circuit analysis but note that we might disagree as to what is positive and what is negative in a loop but since we are both consistent it does not matter. The time constant of the circuit works out as 1/20 seconds so the effective inductance is 1 henry. The second attachment is a derivation of the effective inductance of you arrangement of inductors. This is just an extension of finding the effective inductance of parallel self inductors. The third attachment is the effective inductance of the inductors if one set of windings is the other way round - note that the dots are now at the same end in the circuit diagram. I hope that you can read what I have written and that my algebraic errors are few.. If you cannot read what is there or want clarification then please ask again. What were your other two problems or are they now solved?
