There is a shortcut way, but since you only have 5 to do, it isn't hard:
n(1) = 3(-2)^(1-1); n(1) = 3 n(2) = 3(-2)^(2-1); n(2) = -6 n(3) = 3(-2)^(3-1); n(3) = 12 n(4)= 3(-2)^(4-1); n(4) = -24 n(5) = 3(-2)^(5-1); n(5) = 48 3-6+12-24+48 = 33
