How do I start an introduction to a compare and contrast essay?

You can probably just begin by talking about what exactly you're comparing and contrasting. once you've answered the question of 'what', then your body paragraphs can get into more specifics and talk about the advantages/disadvantages of whatever it is your comparing/contrasting. hope this helps.
