An allusion makes an indirect reference to something or someone.  That is why part one of you assignment tells you that you may need to research.

9th grade. And just research any reference that you don't understand that is said in the song.  All you have to do is find a reference of something else from the song. :)

I am going to reword what allusions means and that might help.  An allusion makes a casual reference to something.  Meaning, it mentions other sources without really pointing it out. I don't know if I am really helping you to understand, and if not please say so.
