I strongly recommend that you draw a sketch of this situation.  How does the wall relate to the well into which our friend Jimmy has fallen?

Sorry for picking on you in regard to English, but "across from reggie on the other side of the wall" had thrown me off course.  I realize now that you meant 

"across from reggie on the other side of the WELL."  Huge difference in meaning!
