How can I open the Mathlet applications of 18-01sc? I have tried everything, even reinstalling JAVA.

Try using different browsers. You can try also to reinstall your current browser.

I had to "allow" using Java applets....google on "Java applet not working" and you will with no doubt find directions in your own language (mine are in Dutch so I guess not really useful :))

Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed. http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp. I had to install the latest one.
