nothing

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

looking at the choices, we can tell it has a "2" in front of it could be negative or positive what's the vertex of the parabola? the x-coordinate and y-coordinate of the vertex, that is where the graph makes a U-turn

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

vertex = where the graph makes a U-turn, the turning point notice the graph... what's the x-value for it and what's the y-value at that U-turn spot?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

yeap that's the vertex.... and we can see the graph is going DOWN, so that means the number in front it is negative, so is a -2 if it were a +2, it would be going UP so \(\bf vertex\implies ({\color{blue}{ 3}},{\color{red}{ 1}})\qquad \qquad y=-2(x-{\color{blue}{ 3}})^2+{\color{red}{ 1}}\)
