What is the maximum voltage that can be applied to a 7.2 k ohm resistor rated at 1.2 watts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if u cant get that one what about this The beam of electrons goes undeflected when passing through crossed electric and magnetic fields of magnitude 1.37x104 V/m and 2.89x10-3 T, respectively. What is the radius of the electron orbit, in mm, if the electric field is turned off?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well We know that \[V = \sqrt{PR}\] P here would be the 1.2 Watts and R would be the 7200 ohm (notice the conversion from 7.2k ohm) So \[V = \sqrt{(1.2)(7200)}\] V = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

92.95

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

correct...still need help on that second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm

i wrote the answer for the first question for the second question
