Cecilia hired an artist to paint a mural on the wall in her sons' bedroom Dimensions of the mural must be 5 1/3 ft by 10 1/10 ft what is the area of the mural?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Have you considered multiplying the two linear dimensions given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Done that

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

And what was your result?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a wrong answer.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Nonresponsive. What was your result and how did you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiplied the two together.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Nonresponsive. EXACTLY what did you do and what was your result. You are going to have to show me some work. Wrong or not. SHOW ME!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5 1/3 x 10 1/10 came up with/ 53 13/15.. not sure how you want me to show you work on here

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

If you are traveling from New York to Los Angeles, how do you get there? Do you just magically appear in Los Angeles? Might there be some stops on the way? You have a 5 and a 10 and a couple of fractions. How did this information turn out to be 53 and some other fraction? The results of you actually showing me your PROCESS may be that the automated response system is simply wrong and you are wonderfully correct.

Okay so be a fluttering douche bag about it? Im sorry that im doing things an easy way. We can't all be mister genius like you. However, i didnt ask for you to be a wingspan. I asked for a answer. Not someone to come talk pellet on a "easy" retriceproblem. You could simply help me figure out the answer or you can go flutter yourself. Either way. Thank you and have a nice day.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You don't need to behave like that. 1) You asked for nothing. You merely wrote a problem statement. Simply giving you an answer is not consistent with the Code of Conduct for this site. 2) All I asked for is your process. If you don't have one, this problem will be exposed. If there is something wrong with your process, this will be exposed. If you are doing it perfectly correctly and the answer key is just wrong, this will be exposed. If you want help, answer my questions. Simple as that.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

@zackeryy believe it or not tkhunny wants to help. We are not suppose to just give answers and if we give you the answer without knowing where you are you won't know how to solve the problem. now, the mural is rectangular. The area of the rectangle is length x breadth you got 53 13/15 What unit of measure is the answer in?
