Can someone help me find the Volume of this Prism?1. Find the surface area and volume of the prism. You MUST show ALL your work.
The volume of a prism is given by area of 1 end x length In this case the end is a triangle - so area of triangle = 0.5x height x base You have all these from the diagram - so you can calculate it. You can also see that the total surface area is made up of 3 rectangles and 2 triangles. Simply add the 5 areas together for the answer.
MrNood is correct. I would start by finding the area of the triangular ends. As posted you take 1/2 the base times the height. The problem provides you the values for the base and the height. Have you found them yet?
Do you see the diagram?
Locate the dashed line on the end, that is the height is labeled h, what is its value?
24
Yes, now note that it makes a right angle (perpendicular) to the line that is a base, what is its value.
No, look at the dashed line labeled h and that has a value of 24, it is coming off the base of, that line has a value given, what is it? I don't see any value of 49 given????
