Please help! On a certain day, the company took 88 people on whale watching trips. There were 44 children aged 12 and under, of which some children were under 3 years. If x represents the number of children under 3 years, which equation can be used to find the value of x, where C represents the total amount of money collected from tickets that day? age tickets under 3 years free 3 to 12 years $35 over 12 years $46 a. (44+x)35+[88-(44+x)] * 46 = c b. (44-x)35+(88-44)*46=c c. (88+x)35+[88-(44+x)] *46 = c

How can you say that @Baseballa101 ?
@douglaswinslowcooper @RANE
There was 44 children and x is the number of kids under 3, 44-x 35 is the price for 3 to12, (44-x)35 88 people total and 1/2 were kids under 12 so the other half is over 12, 88-44 The price for people over 12 is 46, (88-44)46 (44-x)35+(88-44)46=c
okay would you mind me to show the step of solving this @Baseballa101 ?
I am not still quite clear
Plug in x, then follow PEMDAS
@ganeshie8
