If possible, use the Law of Detachment to draw a conclusion from the 2 given statements. If not possible, write not possible. Statement 1: If x = 3, then 3x - 4 = 5. Statement 2. x = 3 a. 3x - 4 = 5 b. x = 3 c. If 3x - 4 = 5, then x = 3 d. Not possible

Which statement is the Law of Syllogism? a. If p -> q is a true statement and p is true, then q is true. b. If p -> q is a true statement and q is true, then p is true. c. If p -> q and q -> r are true statements, then p -> r is a true statement. d. If p -> q and q -> r are true statements, then r -> p is a true statement.

BD bisects <ABC. m<ABC = 7x. m<ABD = 3x + 25. Find m<DBC a. 50 b. 125 c. 75 d. 175

#1.) It's A because if you know x = 3, then 3x – 4 = 5 is true based on the given conditional #2.) It is C. If p -> q and q -> r are true statements, then p -> r is a true statement. #3.) It is given that BD bisected the angle ABC. so m<ABD = m<CBD = m<ABC/2 given that m<ABC = 7x so m<ABD = m<DBC = 7x/2 but ABD = 3x + 25 3x + 25 = 7x/2 multiply with 2 6x + 50 = 7x subtract 6x 50 = x m<ABD = m<DBC = 3(50) + 25 = 150 + 25 = 175 So it is D. Hope this help you out! :D - Jonathan. K
