(23-45)+(10x3)

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

23 - 45 = -22 10 x 3 = 33 -22 + 30 = ???

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Remember a negative plus a positive always makes the solution change into a negative equation, so -22 + 30 turns into -22 - 30. Also remember that the rule for subtracting integers, you have to change the integer sign from negative to positive and positive to a negative. For this, you have to change 30 to -30. Then you have to change the equation sign also, from subtraction to adding, and adding to subtracting. So now we change the subtracting sign to an adding sign. Now the equation looks like this: -22 + -30 So now add -22 and -30 together which equals?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

23 - 45 = -22 10 x 3 = 33 -22 + 30 = ??? 10*3 = 30, @undeadknight26 :P and @sammixboo er... what? -22 + 30 is NOT the same as -22 - 30 (23-45)+(10*3) -22 + 30 = 8

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

lol *facepalm* stupid typos...

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Yours was a typo, understandable. I've no idea what @sammixboo was describing... but it's very wrong.

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

lol *removes post about her comment*

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Oh and yours was still correct minus that typo :)

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

Thanks sir *salutes*
