Okay so, I'm rough on this stuff but I believe you'd set them equal : 5x+13=3x-5..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x and get -9. So i'll draw it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- 3x both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get 2x=13 = x-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 5 to both sides to cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you write it out at the end ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x+18=x divide 2x into both sides x =-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now write it going down in the order i gave you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure that's right isn't their more steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No.
