Find the equation of the line that passes through points (4, 5) and (-1, 6).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Find the equation of the line with m = - 1/2 and b = -10.

OpenStudy (bibby):

for the second one you have the general form of the line: \[\huge y=mx+b\] plug in m and b

If you are working on this one I'll help the other girl (:

I don't know geometry :)

Thanks!!!

OpenStudy (bibby):

For the first one, use the slope formula\[\huge m = \frac{ y_2-y_1 }{ x_2-x_1 }\] to find slope then find b by plugging into the point slope form equation\[\huge y-y_1=m(x-x_1)\]
