What is the slope of the line x+2y =6?
\[ x+ 2 y =6\\ 2 y = -x + 6\\ y= -\frac 12 x +3 \]
The answer to my first question is -1/2
(-1,3) The slope of the perpendicular line is 2. \[ y-3 = 2 (x+1)\\ y= 2 x +2 +3\\ y= 2x +5 \]
