if ur original pay  is $x$,
after increment u will be getting $x + (150 \%  of x ) =  x + 1.5x  = 2.5x  $

in simple words, 150% simply increases ur salary by double and a half... 

for example, if you're getting $100$ now :-
wid $100 \%$ raise, u wud get $200$ from now
wid  $150 \%$ raise, u wud get  $250$ from now
