what is the domain for the following function? y=x+1/x^2+x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[{{x \in \mathbb{R} : x \neq 0}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The domain is the list of all possible numbers you can plug in for "x". so basically, the domain would be all real numbers such that x does not equal 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because if you have 0 on the bottom you will get 1/0 which doesn't work

thanks
