use the theorem " the measure of an inscribed angle is equal to one-half the measure of its intercepted arc." so.. 6x+10 = 2(160)

hmm.. based on my book

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The angle in question is called an "inscribed angle" if you didn't know. The measure of it is equal to one half the measure of the arc on the angle's endpoints. 160=2(6x+10) or 160/2=6x+10 Both are acceptable. The latter would likely be easier to solve.

thanks for the help :)

so the answer is x=11.7? @tomhue

OpenStudy (anonymous):

160/2=6x+10 80=6x+10 70=6x 11.67=x Correct.

thanks for the help tomhue
