So your equation begins to look like this:
(x 1)(x 4)

Now you must add your signs in order to complete it, because 1 and 4 are multiplied, and the sign in the original equation is negative, we know that there will be one positive sign and one negative sign. So, now look at the -3x, it is negative so the negative sign will be in front of the 4. So now are factors look like this:

(x+1)(x-4)

To find the solutions, you must now solve for each x, giving you:
