sum of two consecutive odd integers is 68 find the integers

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Say the first odd integer is x. Then the next odd integer is x+2, since they must both be odd. So we have\[x+(x+2) = 68\]And this can be easily solved.\[2x+2=68 --> 2x=66 --> x=33.\]So the first number is 33, and the second is 35.

68/2 = 34 34-1,34+1 33,35

Or like i said on your other similar question. Just guess. Much quicker usually. We want 2 close integers that sum to 68. What's 68 divided by 2? 34 So lets try 33 and 35. Hey it works!
