second value flips like how 3 divided by 2 = 3 times (1/2) so you get x x-1 ----- * ----- x+1 x

mmm you could do that... or you can use Commutative Property of Multiplication x (x-1) -------- x (x+1) and x/x = 1 so you're left with...
