Need help with these two questions.. WILL GIVE MEDAL

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

volume of the triangular prism = area of the triangle x the height ( 6 ft) volume of the cylinder = area of the circle x height (42 ft) do u know how to find the area of a triangle and a circle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

triangle: a = 1/2 bh circle: pi*r^2 everytime i do this, i get it wrong

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

area of the triangle = 1/2 b x h = 1/2 x 5 x 7 = 35/2 now multiply it by the height , which is 6ft to get the volume of prism 35/2 x 6 = 35 x 3 = 105 cubic ft area of a circle = pi*r^2 = 3.14 x (diameter/2)^2 = 3.14 x 8^2 = 3.14 x 64 = 200.96 now to get the volume multiply it by the height (42 ft) = 200.96 x 42 = 8440.32 cubic ft got it :) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of.... it says to round my answer to the nearest cubic foot.... 8440?

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

yep!
