Does the table represent an exponential function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where's the table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x 1 2 3 4 y 4 16 64 256

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. The table is an representation of an exponential function. Due to the first interval beginning with 4, and the second interval jumping to 16...it can be assumed that x=4. The "y" portion is the final number after you take 4 to the power of 2,3,4,5 and so on. Make sense?
