x+5 = 3x -4 4x = 9 x = 9/4 x = 2.25

thank you! i got that but i didn't think it was right because its a decimal and we have not had not had a decimal yet

Heck, correct answers can have a decimal PI = 3.14159265 1/3 = .33333333333 sq root of 2 = 1.414... and so on
