"Give an ordered pair that is the solution to the equation y = 5x + 2." 

 Pick a number, any number, and substitute it in for x. Probably easiest is to choose x = 0. 

 y = 5(0) + 2 
 y = 2 

 So therefore, a point on the line would be (0,2), also known as the y-intercept, because that's where the line crosses the y axis.
