VERY poor. Factory workers were always working on very little sleep, in very dangerous machines. There was little to no time for a break time for the workers as well as extremely limited drinking/bathroom breaks. The main reason for this was productivity; the more a factory could press their workers, the more the factory produced, the more the factory made in profits. Unfortunately, more problems occurred as well; infected lungs from lint in the air and stuffy conditions, amputated hands, legs and fingers were common.
