Could someone explain how to solve for "r" please?


r(4) + 2(25) = 90. Solve.

I believe that you would "move" the 2(25) over to the other side. So you'd have..
r(4)+50=90
r(4)=40
Divide both sides by 4
r=10

Yes, it does. I am just trying to trace my steps because somehow I got an answer of 20. Can't seem to figure out with method I did.
