During meiosis, the genes of an armadillo undergo a mutation. The mutation is passed on to the armadillo's offspring. Which of the following circumstances would most likely increase the chances of the mutation eventually changing the genetic composition of a whole population of armadillos?

However, I believe it may improve their hunting abilities or something in that sort. This is one of the few scenarios when organisms and animals benefit from mutation. The armadillo will then "adapt" to this and better their species hence the fact it changed the whole genetic composition of the species.
