Can someone explain to me the term "Islamic terorrism"? I'm reading this article and it says that Islamic terrorists killed at least 40 Muslim students. Are these terrorists a part of the same religion or are they against Islam in general?

good question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An Islamic Terrorist is an Islam who has an extremists perceptive of everyone should follow the Islamic Religion. They are Radicals of Islam and i guess have taken actions in killing "sinners" or people who are a "threat" to Islam in s a sense. The term Islamic Terrorism can be found online with better explanation. I'm just giving my view on what they say and do. Also they have a strong conviction of placing all governments with Sharia Law. You can also look that up. I don't know whether they are sunni's or pellete Muslims.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Islamic terrorism is a form of religious terrorism committed by Muslims to achieve varying political ends in the name of religion. (Wikipedia) They are using their religion as an excuse, basically. Islam is a shared religion between muslims, but different muslims choose to perceive it differently, hence terrorism.
