what are the next 2 terms in the following sequence? -3,0,3,6,9,... 1.11,13 2. 11,15 3.12,15 4.10,11

OpenStudy (a1234):

The terms are increasing by 3. 9 + 3 = 12 12 + 3 = 15 12 and 15.

Thanks

OpenStudy (a1234):

You're welcome.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

There are two types of sequences: arithmetic and geometric. In an arithmetic sequence, there is always the same difference between any to consecutive terms. In a geometric sequence, there is always the same ratio between any two consecutive terms.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I'd rephrase that as "two types of sequences are arithmetic and geometric" as there are other types of sequences...

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Thanks.
