Find the mean of this set of numbers. 7, –9, 6, –10, –13, –5 a.4 b.-24 c.7.7 d.-4 honestly,i think its 9,but thats not any of the choices? help!

OpenStudy (carniel):

Do you know how to get the mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its been a VERY long time..and i just..totally blank on what mean, mode or range and median is..so not really

OpenStudy (carniel):

Mean = Average Add all of them up and divide by how many individual numbers you have

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea,i thought that was what it was,i get mode and mean mixed

OpenStudy (carniel):

Mode is how many times a number occurs. Example: 5,9,6,7,8,7 The mode would be 7 since it shows up more times than any other number

OpenStudy (carniel):

The sum of all the numbers would be -24 Divide by 6 and your answer is D.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you, sorry was distracted for a bit

OpenStudy (carniel):

No problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D
