10-4=-7x+4

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

10-4 is 6 So we are given that -7x + 4 = 6 So -7x + 4 -4 = 6 -4 [Subtracting 4 from both sides to get rid of the 4 in the LHS] -7x = 2 -7x/7 = 2/7 [Dive both sides by 7 to get rid of the '7' in the LHS] -x = 2/7 x = -2/7 Now we divide and subtract both the sides to keep the inequality equal. And to get the value of x. :D Understood? :)
