Factoring Trinomials- Def having a hard time with the problems laid out like 18x^2+59x-14 can someone please help im very stuck and not understanding. thanks!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Fined two numbers such that, they add up to 59 they multiply to -14*18

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

basically u need to pick ur numbers from the factors of 14*18 : 14*18 7*2 * 2 * 9 4*63

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

so, 63 and -4 are the magic numbers. fine sofar ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

once you have the numbers, rewrite the middle term using them : 18x^2+59x-14 18x^2 + 63x - 4x - 14

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

next, factor first out the GCF from two terms, and last two terms separately

got the answer (9x-2)(2x+7) just wanna make sure i get it

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right ! good job !!
